It has been a while since my last blog post and there are many reasons for this but all good I promise!
First off we have been extremely busy with many recent client wins such as Terex Corporation, European Tour Challenge: NI Open, Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce, Edina Power and many more. The company has continued to grow with many new employees joining the team in our engineering department and also Jeff Wilson joining as Creative Director. A highly experienced creative (with a fear of the hairdressers scissors!) he will oversee all creative, user interface and user experience output. Several of us have worked with Jeff for many years.
As many of you may know we have just launched the London office back in May. We are based on Northumberland Avenue – 200 yds from Nelson’s Column. A great West End base to work from, if you want to connect to the London start up world and global brands.
I have met some wonderful people in London and attended some great networking events through the Irish International Business Network, a home for us Irish folk trying to conquer London and the world! Everyone in the network has been very friendly and engaging towards me along with offering great advice for securing projects in London.
London is buzzing at the moment with many start ups in the tech community and a hive of activity around Silicon Roundabout in Shoreditch. I have enjoyed a few evenings up at Google Campus and other Meetups where I have got the opportunity to meet other tech entrepreneurs. It is always a joy to share stories and experiences about business with fellow tech guys, it keeps you somewhat sane along with the motivation to keep going with your company vision!
Part of the reason why we felt that we needed to establish a London base was the culture and access to global brands but also to help service some of our existing clients based there. Our main offering in London is to assist large organisations in managing and accessing their data from mobile or tablet devices. This will allow them to work smarter and more efficiently as they can not only access content but utilise the device to carry out tasks such as processing orders, internal communication, secure data access, etc. Our experience in development of Enterprise Mobile and Tablet applications along with integration with systems such as Oracle ensures we have the knowledge for this area of growth.
My time in London has been great and has consisted of some great client meetings combined with with the odd drink or two for entertaining!!. London is an international city that offers us the opportunity to work with some great companies, I am looking forward to launching some of the exciting work we are doing here.
I am currently based in London every alternate week and the door is always open for anyone whom fancies a meetup so do drop me a line!
