An Extranet supporting UK and Ireland dealer network encompassing marketing budgets and planning tools while also supplying all marketing collateral & advertising.

When initially approached by KIA, Gravity was asked to provide a simple website. Upon further conversations it was deemed that there was a requirement for an extranet to support the growing dealership franchises across the UK & Ireland. No framework existed so detailed user requirements and technical specifications were created through our consultation process.

This process identified that KIA had vast marketing collateral and that a centralised system would improve efficiency and also brand consistency across UK & Ireland as dealerships could easily access this collateral and distribute accordingly. Another aspect that was identified was the management of marketing budgets that are allocated to each individual dealer by KIA Motors UK & Ireland marketing department.

Cloud web servers and a connected database system, all housed in a secure facility with a robust internet connection ensures that the extranet system can cater for thousands of connections and highly responsive.

After extensive wire-framing and architecture planning of the system we began development of the various aspects. Built using .NET technologies for stability and to allow for future phases of development to be integrated easily. We have developed a Marketing Planner allowing KIA Motors UK & Ireland Marketing to assign budgets with the minimum amount of effort. The planner is broken into 3 individual sections, Administrator, Regional Brand Manager and Dealership. The Administrator assigns the budget to the Regional Brand Manager whom then attributes this to each of the individual Dealerships within their region.

The Marketing Planner is set out in customisable quarters and dealerships assign their marketing planner spend per quarter to various media such as TV, Radio, Press and Digital. The Regional Brand Manager can access this data and monitor performance accordingly through a dashboard and various reporting functionality. The dealership targets per quarter are set by Administrators and again they have full reporting and charts offering detailed breakdown of spend per region, dealership activity historically and activity by type and models.

An extensive marketing asset catalogue existed but required development of an area to digitally store the data. It was extremely important that the user journey was seamless allowing dealerships quick access and retrieval of files. Dealerships can order stationary and personalise according to their dealership. Another valuable asset are the car model specification sheets. In order to reduce the cost of artwork setup and painful print procurment process, we have developed functionality to allow for specification sheet updates online and PDF creation that is print ready.

Continuing with the integrated approach, we have provided 3rd Party links to external sites with Single Sign On facilitated on AMScreen, Dealership Microsites and MediaHawk.
